RSA 110-B:89 Council Established.

I. There shall be a state veterans council of 4 members to be appointed by the governor and council, 3 of whom shall be veterans as defined by RSA 21:50. The fourth member shall be a family member of a veteran or family member of a currently serving member of the armed forces. All council members shall be citizens of New Hampshire. Of the first appointments of veterans under this section one shall be appointed for a term of 3 years, one for a term of 2 years, one for a term of one year and thereafter each shall be appointed for a term of 3 years. The family member shall be appointed for a term of 3 years. Each member of the council shall hold office until a successor is appointed and qualified.
